1.     Arnold Shadbehr, Director of Public Works reviewed the details of the Clean Water Fee and provided a summary of the proposal.

2.     Chris Cognac and Kathy Burnett, officers with the Hawthorne Police Department discussed the initial revitalization of the Neighborhood Watch. First Meeting to be March 1, 2008. To be followed by an action committee meeting within 30 days. Question and Answer session regarding current crime and problems in the Hollyglen neighborhood followed with the Homeowners present at the meeting. 

3.     Chris and Kathy also announced the Citizens Academy, an inside look at the police department and all facets of law enforcement. The program will be accepting applications until March 21st. The program is scheduled to begin on the 27th of March.

4.     Election of 2008 HHA Board Members

 

Election was by Ballot with all members of the Homeowners Association present voting.

 

The Board of Officers is as follows:

Robyn Walsh – 2nd VP

Carla Cooper – Secretary

Mary Franklin – Treasurer

 

Betty Anderson – Trustee

Jim Matthews – Trustee

Jennifer Ghurani – Trustee

    

5.     Mary Franklin, 2007 Treasurer(replacing Danny Juarez, elected to the City Council) presented the 2007 Income and Expenses Report.

 

6.     Cindy Parsons, 2007 President reviewed the activities and achievements for the Homeowners Association for 2007.

 

7.     Meeting adjourned. Next general meeting to be determined. Next Board meeting – March 29,2008.
